This document provides step-by-step instructions for performing a configuration reset on the device using the physical Reset and CFG buttons. This method can be used to troubleshoot device behavior or restore factory settings

Requirements

  • A small Phillips screwdriver or a similar pointed tool (to press the small buttons).

  • Access to the device.

Steps to Reset the Device

  1. Locate the Buttons
The device has two small buttons labeled:

    • Reset

    • CFG (Configuration)

  2. These are usually found on the front or side of the device housing.

  3. Initiate the Reset Process

    • Using a small Phillips screwdriver:

      • Press the Reset button once — do not hold it down.

      • Then, press and hold the CFG button for at least 20 seconds.

      • Maintain consistent pressure throughout this duration.

  4. Power Cycle the Device

    • After holding the CFG button:

      • Turn off the device completely.

      • Wait for 5–10 seconds.

      • Turn the device back on.

Outcome

After completing these steps, the device should:

  • Clear previous configurations.

  • Boot with default settings (if applicable).

  • Be ready for new configuration or normal operation.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If the device does not respond after a reset:

    • Ensure buttons were pressed correctly.

    • Confirm power supply is stable.

    • Retry the procedure, ensuring the CFG button is held for the full 20 seconds.
